Taiwan —> Hong Kong (5.5 days)
This is my first time returning to Hong Kong since my father passed away last year. It took me a long time to begin recording in this sketchbook, as I needed space to move through the grieving process. In the end, I combined my 2024 and 2025 trips into one collection. This sketchbook feels like my most chaotic and scattered work yet—filled with “here and there” sketches that reflect my frustration and state of mind during this season. Still, it serves multiple purposes: processing grief for my father, capturing moments with family and friends, and documenting travels with my wife.
Our journey began with a short stop in Taipei, where we stayed a few days to rest before heading to Hong Kong. We arrived early in the morning, around 5 a.m., and went to a breakfast place followed by Louisa Coffee before checking into our hotel. That short stay gave us time to recover from jet lag and prepare ourselves mentally and physically for reconnecting with relatives.
We arrived in Hong Kong on February 21, 2025, and departed on February 26, 2025.
You deserve every praise, Lord. May Your name be glorified in my life.
